How to Fly FREE – Guaranteed

How to travel free, how to get free flights, flight deals anywhere and travel hacking tips

Ladies and gentlemen, I interrupt this blog to share some new travel tips from fellow blogger and travel fiend Chris Guillebeau. To find out how to get FREE FLIGHTS please remain seated and listen carefully to the following announcement.

Currently in the final two years of a five-year mission to visit every country in the world, Chris is a genius at getting free flights and amazing flight deals anywhere, anytime. Now he’s teaching other people how to get free flights. Sounds good doesn’t it?

Now he’s decided to share his travel hacking secrets with us so we too can take advantage of secret flight deals anywhere and go jetting off around the globe for next to nothing or even learn how to fly free.

What’s Travel Hacking and How Can it Help You Fly Free?

Travel hacking is the art of earning large amounts of frequent flier miles without getting on a plane, and then redeeming them for high value plane trips.

Chris has been using these flight deal techniques since 2006 to earn more than one million air miles every year and book trips all over the world.

He’s been successfully teaching other people how to do take advantage of the best flight deals for years with his Frequent Flyer Master program and now he’s launched a brand new membership site, the Travel Hacking Cartel. The aim is to help more people make the most of these amazing opportunities and make it easier than ever to learn how to fly free or get the best flight deals.

How Does the Travel Hacking Cartel Work?

  • Tutorials and an extensive Knowledge Base will help you get started. Let’s face it, most of us don’t know exactly what to do with air miles or air points so these tutorials and the knowledge base will tell you everything you need to know.
  • Log-in to Cartel HQ anytime to see the latest Airmile and Flight Deal Alerts, Knowledge Base, and other essential travel information.
  • Get Airmile and Flight Deal Alerts sent via email and/or text message, telling you exactly what you need to do to earn miles and take advantage of special promotions.
  • Members choose from three price tiers ranging from $15-39 a month.
  • There’s a $1, 14-day trial for everyone.
  • Members are guaranteed to be able to get one plane ticket every three months (25,000 air miles per quarter).

How to Get Free Flights – Guaranteed

It’s true. Travel Hacking Cartel members are guaranteed to be able to get fly free once every three months (25,000 miles per quarter). According to my calculations a one way flight from Australia to Europe is around 64,000 miles one way and would cost around $1,000 so it seems like a brilliant deal to me.

Just visit the Travel Hacking Cartel site to get all the details on how to earn air miles so you can fly free.

Who Will Benefit From Joining?

Anyone, from budget travellers who want to score a free flight or great flight deals, to executives who want to enjoy upgraded flights to business and first class anytime without paying a massive premium.

Free Flights Deals – How to Try it Out For Just $1

Travel hacking tipsTo get things started the Travel Hacking Cartel is offering new members a $1, 14-day trial as an introduction to the world of travel hacking.

After the trial, members are billed based on the pricing tier they signed up for, with three price tiers to choose from starting from only $15 per month.

If at any time you want to opt out they make it easy to cancel with their “no pain in the ass” cancel option. To find out more click here.

What if I don’t live in the USA?

Both US and non-US residents can benefit from this opportunity. About half the air mile and flight deals are available only in the U.S., but the other half are available worldwide. The Travel Hacking Cartel focuses on U.S. mileage programs because that’s where many of the best deals are, but you don’t need to live in the U.S. to benefit from them.

Why Pay For this Service?

If you like to travel then it makes sense to give travel hacking a go and this is the best way to get started.

Of course you could probably spend endless time researching the airmile and flight deals yourself, but Chris has relationships with many of the airlines, and a lot of his personal tricks for finding and recognizing deals and learning how to fly free will be going into this.

With the Travel Hacking Cartel all the deals and details are sent right to your in box so you don’t have to waste time looking for them and you’ll never miss out.

Come Fly With Me

I’ve already signed up for the Travel Hacking Cartel and am going to dedicate this year to expanding my travel horizons and getting some good flight deals anytime I want to. For me this is about committing to travel hacking and actually doing it instead of just thinking about it. I can’t wait to enjoying some free trips this year and hopefully many more in the years to come.

I’ve also decided to be an affiliate for the Travel Hacking Cartel because I believe in it 100% and I know that it will offer excellent value for money and amazing rewards. If it sounds good to you too I hope you’ll join me on my travel hacking quest and join the Travel Hacking Cartel too.

Sounds like a great opportunity. Are you a big traveler Annabel?

    • Annabel Candy January 26, 2011 at 7:16 am - Reply

Hi Jonathan, absolutely! Most people love to travel but I’ve planned my life around it. I was born in the UK and have lived in the USA, France, Zimbabwe, Laos, New Zealand (where our kids were born), Costa Rica and now Australia. I’ve traveled in Europe, South East Asia, North America, Africa, Central America, Australasia and the Pacific Islands.

You can reaed about our trip to Central America here: https://www.getinthehotspot.com/live-your-dream-in-a-material-world/

I hope to do another big one to Africa soonish and there are plenty of other trips that are calling my name too:)

Dude, you must have some sweet frequent flyer mileage…..I plan on travelling the world too, once my e-book is released online. This wil give me alot of time to see the world..and im pretty excited…

      • Annabel Candy January 31, 2011 at 9:58 am

Hi Jonathan, lol! Sadly, in my travel hay day I never saved the air miles dismissing it as too much hard work for too little value. I’ve changed my mind now I’ve heard about other people’s success and look forward to learning how to fly free (or practically free :)

I think everyone should see the world so great to hear it’s top of your list. Good luck with the ebook, sounds like you have some grand plans for 2011!

        Thanks Annabel :)

    Hi Annabel,
I’ve seen this a few times now and have a question for you. Is it just for people in the US or can we Aussies benefit too?

    • Annabel Candy January 26, 2011 at 1:23 pm - Reply

Hi Suellen, thanks for asking:) I was worried about that as I'[m in Australia like you so I asked the same question and this is what they told me: Both US and non-US residents can benefit from this opportunity. About half the air mile deals are available only in the U.S., but the other half are available worldwide. The Travel Hacking Cartel focuses on U.S. flights and mileage programs because that’s where many of the best deals are, but you don’t need to live in the U.S. to benefit from them.

I’ve just logged in for my first time and there are 9 deals mentioned so far (they’ll update them as more come in) of which 2 seem to be valid worldwide for a total of 1,500 air miles. Hmm, I guess it could take a while to build them up enough to get free flights and I’m thinking it would definitely be best if we lived in the US!

this is a really interesting idea. i’m not sure i’d ever heard of travel hacking before this post. sounds like something I should check out :)

    • Annabel Candy January 31, 2011 at 9:59 am - Reply

Hi Kola, I think it’s particuarly interesting for young, childless people who can (and should!) nip off hither and thither at the drop of a hat. Learning how to fly free takes time and dedication but if you have that it can be done. Happy travels:)

    This can’t be real.

    • Annabel Candy March 9, 2011 at 8:17 am - Reply

Hi Melissa, I know getting free flights sounds too good to be true but the program is real and the guarantee is real so if you try it and you don’t get the airmiles as promised you can get a refund:)

Is this geared more towards single travelers and one way tickets? For example, could 3 people possibly get tickets somewhere and round trip? This looks awesome though either way

    • Annabel Candy March 10, 2011 at 11:01 am - Reply

Hi Jaimie, the best people to ask would be the Travel Hacking team. But my impression is that the three people would need to have their own air miles accounts to enough miles for round trips. If it’s a family only one person needs to join the program and everyone can benefit from the same tips. Hope that makes sense! Do ask the Travel Hacking team if you have other questions here: http://travelhacking.org/a/d51f3 They are super helpful:)

Is this for every airline or just specific ones because i have some miles for delta already. Also where do you find the deals do you have to spend more money signing up for things?

    • Annabel Candy April 3, 2011 at 8:38 am - Reply

Hi Nene, they seem to have alert for all the major airlines. Most of the things you sign up for are free:)

Hey, its really great to travel, i had a life changing job in travel for a few years after an exhausting teaching job. I am happy you all want to travel and i do think everybody should at some time to broaden their horizons and understand the world better.
Please don’t forget though that flying drinks fuels(150,000 gallons per 10hr flight) and producing tonnes of waste a lot of which is dumped on underdeveloped countries who can’t deal with it. These are the pristine places you visit as you love the fact they are pristine, well not for long. Take time to plan your flying so you don’t do loads of flights a year but if your work allows it maybe do a long trip and travel overland in Country remember short trips are far more damaging. Plastic cups, water bottles, cutlery, plastic wrapping on headphones, blankets, airline meals it goes on and on. KLM don’t bother to recycle waste in airports flights to Africa but will do it in Europe! is that racism or just laziness? Find out what the policy is of your airline and if you don’t like it ask them to change. Enjoy your travel adventures and remember the planet needs to be well kept by us for those who can’t travel due to lack of money, poor Governance or just not being born yet.

      Hi Alice,

Thanks for the reminder that even if the flights are free of cost they still take their toll on the environment. Love your tips for being more eco-friendly when we fly.

Does this go hand in hand with having to buy things or are there other ways of earning these miles as well?

  9. Laurence August 16, 2012 at 2:44 pm - Reply

I’m familiar with life hacker but no travel hacker. Sounds too good tho. Good things rarely come for free. But maybe I’ll try…

    • Annabel Candy February 12, 2013 at 9:25 pm - Reply

      Hi Laurence,

You have to be pretty dedicated to this to learn how to fly free and save enough points for free flights but it can be done.

    hi

Will this work for South Africa too?

Is there testimonials from South Africa of Africa?

    Many thanks

Thank you for sharing this. Do you think this works in Europe as well? Cause (at least in Germany) earning miles is not very popular and not very services support this (like you cannot get miles for spending on credits cards and so on). Any thoughts on that?

    • Annabel Candy July 23, 2017 at 10:41 am - Reply

      Hi Ahmed,

I live in Australia and it is frustrating that many of the deals are only US specific. However, the basic steps are to get a credit card that amasses points, buy everything on it (just make sure you always pay the bill on time!) and look out for retailers that give you points and offer different special deals each week. For me that means I choose a supermarket that gets me points and buy the specials when it’s something I’ll use anyway.

      Hope that makes sense :)
